Some pieces are inspired by moments and daily life in Vietnam, some represent childhood memories, others are simply trying to represent something that cannot be put into words. 

By The Intern’s art is constantly changing and evolving, the one constant being a desire to create. 

 

Hi, I’m Judith, a German Artist who grew up in France and is currently based here in Saigon.

I have always been a creative at heart, not surprising as my mother was an artist and my childhood home was filled with colourful art and the constant smell of fresh paint. I am a trained fashion designer, and when I moved to Vietnam 3 years ago i intended to launch my own brand, but somewhere along the way I decided to pursue one of my other passions which is art and in this case digital art. Now I am working as a full-time artist and can’t wait to create my next artwork. 

 

The collection shown at Soma is a selection of some of By The Intern’s most popular pieces, and some of my own personal favourites. It also includes my newest work: “Hanoi”

All of the pieces at Soma can of course be bought, and you can also order them in the size and format of your choice. There are also some By The Intern postcards available in the book corner of the restaurant.
